I’ve got some Christmas lights outside, solar and mains powered, is it OK to put battery powered lights out and have the battery pack covered in plastic?
Yes, I did it all the time. The plastic should be a vinyl, like a clear plastic foot wiping rug. Putting the battery pack in a baby wipes plastic box and sealing it with tape works also. Cut a small slot for the wire at the top, put the battery pack inside, close the lid, and seal off with tape.
