Carbon Monoxide!?!?!?

I need a list of all the places carbon monoxide can leak from in the home, and why it leaks. I overreact I guess but I just want to be safe so I’m worried please help!!!
And yes I have Carbon monoxide detectors.

Carbon monoxide forms when an carbon based fuel (all gas, petrol, fuel, ethanol) doesn’t burn with enough oxygen to form carbon dioxide. This happens everytime you use a gas device, because the oxygen is just not concentrated enough in the local area to allow for the fuel to burn completely and leave no carbon monoxide. This is natural and not to worry about.

I imagine you’re most likely to be at risk from faulty combustion devices like furnaces, gas fireplaces and heaters and spirit burners. Anything that burns gas and isn’t in a well ventilated area (that’s why outdoor stoves are fine, the wind just blows the carbon monoxide away) should be checked.
I stress that these products would have had to meet a certain level of quality before being sold to you – and that regular maintanence would avoid any leaks/ build up. If in doubt, consult your local firebrigade – i’m serious, they’d be glad to help, it’s their job.

Hi,

I had joined a new Company one year ago.Initially,due to Project issues-i was on bench.
Just a brief -i have 5+ Years Testing Experience.

Then,I was choosen for a Project which our Company did not get but talks were on going on.
I took the initiative of leading a 6 member Team to work in the Project.None of the 6 members had any exposure to the tools being used.

I took up the Task and put in everything so that the work is liked by Client and MY company gets the entire Project.

(1) My efforts worked out,and we got the Project.It was a product Testing.
(2)Within 3 months the Team received the Client Award.

Pain part is I received no support from my India office-nothing.It was me who ran for everything.

Since i was new to the company and the Team was in its NASCENT stage and no support-all documentation was in emails.

Gradually,i started the Testing Documentation.

NOW,twist is here.My Manager has changed and on the first day itself scolded me black and blue for not having all documents with COMPANY’s templates.

He is such a person that he dint even listen to how the Project came up and how i was getting it stabilized.

he did the worst-Just went ahead and complained the higher management find all loop holes in the work and I was the key wrong person.

I felt extremely dis-appointed because it was me who worked with the Team in getting the Project and gradually making it stable.

NOT a single word about them.

ONLY QUESTION IS I AM NOT CAPABLE AND HENCE DINT CREATE DOCUMENTS.SO HE GAVE THE WORK TO HIS LIKEABLE PERSON.

But,i know that in the past-any document i sent to my earlier manager said fine AND stressed to track through mails.

so please help me by writing a LETTER to HIGHER MANAGEMENT that i had comeup with many new ideas,created documents but no one took interest in it.

so that the higher management is fully aware of the entire thing that its a new Team,still I grew it up and created documentation without any support.

This is a very sticky situation. When you go over your managers head, management gets suspicious of you! Even if they take it seriously and not as some disgruntled employee blowing off steam, they will undoubtedly discuss it with your manager. This will degrade your position with him even further. Your manager does not sound like he is very good at management. He either has a specific skill they hired him for or they aren’t aware of his shortcomings.
Your best bet is to get know the higher ups in the company on an informal basis. Let them know what you’ve done and are doing. Then if it comes to any confrontation you will have credibility.

Can anyone recommend some good Project Management /Customer relationship management software- preferably web based (free would be great but not necessary)? I need something where I can create client accounts, use a shared calendar, allocate tasks and something that will be useful for generating custom company documentation from templates and interfacing with contacts in the database. I am trying to come up with some ideas for a small business and bring some clarity to their processes.
PERSONAL experience with the software would be GREATLY appreciated! (As in tried and tested).

I tried a few CRM packages and while the company initially started with one, it was too much of a learning curve for our users. In the end we moved to task management software – Team Task Manager. Solar Powered Lights to heat a Cat house that is outside?

Hey everyone, I’ve recently befriended a stray cat. It is getter cooler and cooler out, and I would like to make her a house. I’ve deceided to make her a home from an old cooler and cut a hole in it. I’ll use a heating pad also. The only thing is I have no power outlet on my house to connect the cord from the heating pad to. Is there such thing as a small solar powered like generator I could plug the heating pad into? That would be awesome. please help!

There is nothing that small yet. You could buy a small solar system and connect the heater too it and other items (outdoor light timer, cellphone charger, ect)

Battery Powered Lights outside?

I’ve got some Christmas lights outside, solar and mains powered, is it OK to put battery powered lights out and have the battery pack covered in plastic?

Yes, I did it all the time. The plastic should be a vinyl, like a clear plastic foot wiping rug. Putting the battery pack in a baby wipes plastic box and sealing it with tape works also. Cut a small slot for the wire at the top, put the battery pack inside, close the lid, and seal off with tape.

You will have light at night and you do not have to pay for electricity to charge it.

How to make a solar battery charger from a garden light?

Could I take four solar garden lights that use an AA battery and put them together to make a four AA battery charger? Would a charge controller out of the garden light work correctly as part of a four battery set up. How would you put it together? Am I asking too much?

I found a video that makes a solar battery charger from a garden light, however it is for an iPhone. This might not me an exact match for starting batteries, but it could be a good starting point.

My solar garden lights don’t work anymore. how can i restore them?

It could simply be that there isn’t enough light to charge them in the Winter. We found that our little lights came back by themselves in the Spring. These were older models. We also bought newer lights, which seem to have enough collecting ability to work through the winter, too.

Also, there could be a buildup of grime on the little panels. Try wiping them down with ordinary ammonia.

i have a 3 set of solar garden lights i got at a yard sell i have tested them and know that everything is working i have no base so i want to turn them into a desk light by connecting all of them together i kind of know how to do it but not 100% sure need to know were i go so that i can see how to connect them together thanks and please if u don’t know how to do it or were to get the info don’t post please

Put them together mechanically. A bit of simple carpentry. leave them separate electronically. No gain I can think of wiring them together. Have fun.

I want to know how it works,and the benefits of using solar lights.

Solar power lights are recharged by the sun each day. If there are several days of cloudy weather the lights will not charge sufficiently to give light. Eventually the solar cell inside wears out and must be replaced, good luck on finding replacements.

Conventional lights need electric lines to them Years ago the only type were the 110 lines, like in your house. Some decades back 12 volt systems became available. You plug a transformer into an outside outlet and then run your wires wherever you want light. Unlike the 110 volt systems that require conduit (pipes) around the wire, 12 volt lines can be run on the ground or buried , your choice. Attaching lights is extremely easy. You get more light choices, different types of bulbs so you can have pinpoint light to wall washing, build into steps and stair, hung in trees, rafters of houses…..wherever you want light. The 12 volt are a DIY dream. The number of lights is determined by the transformer size.

solar lights, yeah they are fun, but I never found they put out that much light.
